Horoscopes for the Week of October 3, 2017

On the same day as October 5th’s Full Moon in Aries, the rulers of the lunation, Mars and Venus meet up in Virgo. This is a powerful opportunity to consider the ways in which the feminine and masculine aspects within and without do or do not get along. How can we integrate our inclinations for assertion, movement, drive, passion with those for harmony, receptivity, gentleness, and grace?

On your once-a-year Full Moon, honour yourself for your innate ability to lead, to assert yourself, to be bold and courageous. Honour the fiery impulse within you that inspires and ignites. Seek balance by cultivating the Libran qualities of equanimity, gentleness, diplomacy, harmony, and patience.

Honour the transformative power of awareness. When shown aspects of yourself that were hidden, harness your innate courage, and SEE. See the aspects of yourself that were too blindingly brilliant for you to see earlier, or that were too painful, or that were too ugly. Simply seeing is healing. Forgive yourself, and let go of what you are ready to release.

Honour your divine capacity to create. Creativity comes in infinite forms and can be applied to any aspect of life. Allow your creativity to flow through you, from beyond, from the silence, the darkness, the chaos that you don’t understand and no longer try to. Seek out the friendships, the groups, the communities who SEE you, who get you, who support you in your uniqueness.

Honour yourself for all the hard work you’ve done. You’re finding your place in the world. You are aligning with your calling, your purpose, your divine work. Recognize the importance to your work of also taking breaks. Recognize the importance of rest, retreat, self-care. Balance time spent at work with time at home. Take time to go within, to reflect.

More and more you are coming to understand the importance of worldview. You are coming to see how the structures of your mind, the patterns of your thought, the limits of your language, all impact your experience of the world. See the patterns that you once accepted, but no longer believe. Dis-identify with them. Open to greater possibility, to greater love, to greater magic.

Recognize that life naturally flows, that sometimes you’re up, and sometimes you’re down. Sometimes the most difficult moments and trying struggles give way to transformation, renewal, rebirth. Respect your capacity to alchemically transform anxiety, negativity, anger, doubt, insecurity, into courage, light, love, and confidence.

The people with whom you are in relationship are reflections of yourself. The more you’re true to yourself, the more you find true connections. What you admire or dislike in others, reflects what you admire or dislike within yourself. Attend to yourself–your own needs, your identity, your desires, as well as those of others. Listen, attend to, observe, care for yourself, as well as others.

Your energy levels and priorities ebb and flow. When energy is offered to work, to focus, to serve others, ride the wave. Put your head down and work. And honour also the importance of rest, retreat, daydreaming, meditation. Balance busyness with silence, engagement with retreat, work with rest.

With every day that passes, you come more and more into your own truth, and your own unique modes of self-expression. Recognize that creativity flows in many forms, and honour yourself for your divine ability to create. Seek to connect with like-minded souls who see you for who you are, who respect your creative offerings, who appreciate and support your uniqueness.

You’re coming home to yourself. You take the time to attend to your home, to lovingly care for it as the space that holds you, as the space that offers the foundation from which all else flows. From this space of support and nurturing, you set out into the world to share your gifts, to contribute, to serve.

Attend to the workings of your mind, the structures that shape your language, your thought. Observe your thoughts as a practice of coming to know yourself better. Witness your tendencies to cut yourself down, to criticize yourself, to dwell in negativity. Awareness itself is transformational. Observe yourself without judgement, with love, and watch yourself heal.

Acknowledge all that you have and all that you’ve been given. Honour the abundance in your life, and welcome in more. Release self-doubt, insecurity, negativity. Honour yourself for the beautiful divine spirit that you are. Open up to the possibility of intimacy, of closeness, of deep connection. Recognize the magic and transformative potential in intimacy.
